The idea is simple: work on an art project every day in January, then show your work in a group art show in February! All mediums accepted, from painting to performance, sewing to singing, drawing to dancing, IF YOU CAN DO IT, THEN IT'S ART! Fun-A-Day is always FREE, NON-COMMERCIAL, NON-JURIED, and ALL-AGES. Everyone is invited to participate, no previous art making experience necessary. The only requirement is to HAVE FUN!

Past projects include photo-a-day, sketch-a-day, song-a-day, bake-a-cake-a-day, make-the-bed-a-day, etc. Some people have worked on one painting for the whole month. Some people have worked on 3 different projects at one time, finishing only one but displaying the results of all. Some people start a project, then abandon it, then start a new one. Some people have used Fun-A-Day as a chance to learn a new skill or try a new technique, or even to finally finish that long abandoned project started years ago. There is no wrong way to do Fun-A-Day, the goal is to be creative and make sure you are HAVING FUN EVERY DAY WHILE MAKING ART!

Fun-A-Day was started by a group of artists in West Philadelphia known as the artclash collective. Through the years Fun-A-Day has spread to other cities throughout the world! Thousands of artists have created millions of pieces of art for the Fun-A-Day project since its inception in 2005. Anyone with a creative spirit is encouraged to give it a try! HAVE FUN, MAKE ART!
